A Monday rocket attack in the Iraqi city of Erbil hit a coalition military base led by U.S. forces, killing one person and injuring six others at the base.
The person killed was reportedly an American contractor. Those injured at the base include one member of the U.S. military and other American contractors.
About 14 rockets hit Erbil on Monday, with three striking the coalition military base. Residential areas of the city also were hit, and one rocket landed near the Chinese Consulate in the city, according to the New York Times.
Outside the base, at least three people were injured, the Wall Street Journal reports.
It is currently unclear who launched the attack.
