A 15-year-old boy was among several people who were arrested for a mall shooting in Wisconsin that injured eight people, authorities announced on Sunday.
Wauwatosa Police Chief Barry Weber said the boy was arrested on Saturday night with a gun allegedly used in the shooting. The department did not identify the boy or clarify what charges he may face.
A spokesperson for the department said several others were also arrested in connection with the shooting.
Authorities said the shooting — which took place at Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin — was the result of an altercation between two groups. Several people in both groups were injured, as well as several bystanders, according to Weber.
The police spokesperson did not say where the teenager had been arrested.
