A multi-agency operation has recovered 150 missing and endangered children in Tennessee.
"Operation Volunteer Strong" was a combined effort between the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Department of Children's Service, the U.S. Marshals Service, and The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
"This work is transformational, we cannot stop. And there is nothing more worthwhile," Tennessee Department of Children's Service Commissioner Jennifer Nichols said.
The operation was able to recover 150 minors, ranging in age from 3 to 17. One child was rescued during an active kidnapping investigation, resulting in an arrest. Five recovered children are thought to be possible victims of human trafficking.
Eight of the missing children were found outside of Tennessee.
U.S. Marshal Denny W. King told local media that one child had been missing for 460 days.
