163 campers air-rescued from California wildfire

The Air National Guard rescued at least 163 people trapped by a wildfire in the Sierra National Forest in California as of 1 a.m. Sunday morning.

Of those rescued, 20 were hospitalized, some with critical burn injuries.

The Creek Fire sparked early Saturday with temperatures in triple digits during a weekend heatwave. The Creek Fire reached 36,000 acres with zero containment by Saturday evening.
