Urooj Rahman and Colinford Mattis, the two New York attorneys accused of firebombing a NYPD vehicle, have been revealed to be supporters of the presidential campaign of Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders.

Federal Election Commission records reveal that both Rahman and Mattis donated multiple times to Sanders' presidential campaign. Mattis also gave contributions to the campaign of Democratic billionaire Tom Steyer.

The small-dollar donations were made to the candidates through a Democratic party fundraising site called ActBlue.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York, the pair were arrested Saturday morning "while allegedly in possession of explosive device components shortly after Rahman hurled a Molotov cocktail at an NYPD vehicle before fleeing with Mattis."
