Two Louisville police officers were shot overnight as riots raged in the city after one officer was charged with first degree wanton endangerment in the death of Breonna Taylor.

Bodycam footage released by the LMPD shows the moment the officers were shot.

The two cops were shot around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and an unidentified suspect has been taken into custody. One officer was shot in the abdomen, below his bulletproof vest. The other was shot in the thigh. Both officers are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, said Robert Schroeder, the LMPD's interim police chief.

Meanwhile, chaos enveloped the city after the Breonna Taylor verdict was announced. More officers were attacked, buildings were vandalized, explosives were hurled, and fires were set.
