A second earthquake has struck near Iran's nuclear power plant in Bushehr province just 30 minutes after the first 4.9 magnitude quake shook the region around 9.00 a.m. local time.

The epicenter of the second earthquake, which measured 4.5 magnitude, was approximately 20 kilometers from the city of Borazjan which runs along the country's coastline near the nuclear plant.

Both earthquakes occured just hours after Iran fired a series of missiles at two Iraqi bases housing U.S. troops. A 5.1 magnitude earthquake hit the same region less than two weeks ago.
