Eight people were killed and five more were injured in a shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis on Thursday night.
Police said that the suspected shooter took his own life. Five victims with gunshot wounds were taken to area hospitals and two others were treated by on-scene medics and released.
"I am heartbroken by the mass shooting at the FedEx facility here in Indianapolis and praying for all affected by this tragedy," said Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett in a statement released by his office. "I am communicating with local authorities to get all details of the attack and my office stands ready to help everyone affected any way we can."
The FBI is currently assisting with the investigation.
