Joe Biden's presidential campaign pulled in $22.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2019, an improvement over the prior quarter but still less than the funds raised by former Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

The former vice president said on Twitter that the haul was the campaign's "biggest quarter so far." He added that online contributions had doubled since the prior quarter.

Nevertheless, Biden's fourth-quarter earnings lagged behind those of both Sanders and Buttigieg, the campaigns of which raised $34.5 million and $24.7 million, respectively.

🔦 In a recent Economist/YouGov poll, Biden held a 10-point lead over Sanders and a 21-point lead over Buttigieg.
