In a matter of just four weeks, all jobs gained since the Great Recession, which lasted from December 2007 to June 2009, have been erased as the unemployment rate in the U.S. skyrockets.

Approximately 5.25 million Americans filed for unemployment benefits for the first time in the last week, bringing the four-week total to 22.03 million, according to Bloomberg. This monthly total is more than 10 times the prior worst four-week period in over 50 years.
Around 22.13 million jobs were gained since the end of the Great Recession in 2009.
