In a notification to sellers on Wednesday, Amazon announced it would be removing a variety of Washington Redskins merchandise, including t-shirts, jerseys, and jewelry.

The largest online retailer gave sellers 48 hours to review and pull any products that include the team's name and logo.

"With the announcement from the Washington team and the NFL, we are removing products with the team's name and logo from our stores," the notice reads. "Failure to properly close or delete all restricted product listings from your inventory may result in deactivation."

Amazon's decision came after the Redskins announced it would be reviewing its team name after sponsors, including FedEx, called on the team to change its branding.

? Amazon becomes the latest retailer to remove references to the Washington Redskins from its site, joining Nike, Walmart, and Target.
