A new survey reveals that the average American is currently streaming eight hours of entertainment content per day, a third of every day and 50% of average waking hours, an uptick attributable to the nationwide lockdowns in place due to the coronavirus.

Additionally, 65% of parents are allowing their children to watch more television per day than they did prior to the pandemic. Most American children have been at home for weeks, a consequence of local authorities and state governors shutting down schools to help stop the pandemic.

More than half of American adults report re-watching shows they have seen before rather than tuning into something new.
