Apple confirmed that it would unveil a new version of the iPhone at virtual event on Tuesday, October 13.
Viewers can watch the event, titled "Hi, Speed," online on Apple's website and YouTube channel beginning at 1 p.m. EST.
The event's "speed" references how the new iPhones are expected to be able to connect to the faster standard of 5G.
Analysts said they expect Apple to release four new models of the iPhone, all of which will be equipped with 5G and with displays ranging between 5.4 inches and 6.7 inches.
