According to a new report, as many as 150 members of the Saudi Arabian royal family have been infected with COVID-19.

The New York Times reports that among the dozens of lower-level officials that have been infected is Saudi Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He is currently in intensive care at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital.

King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have been placed in isolation to avoid the outbreak. Doctors at the hospital are also preparing 500 more beds in anticipation of additional patients.

The health minister of Saudi Arabia warned that the country's battle with COVID-19 has only just begun. He predicts "a minimum of 10,000 to a maximum of 200,000" infections over the next couple of weeks.

To date, the country has reported 2,932 confirmed cases, with 41 deaths and 631 recoveries.
