A soldier opened fire with a rifle inside a Thailand mall Saturday, killing at least 20 people and injuring at least 31 more, in an attack he livestreamed on Facebook. The killer also took published selfies on social media during the slaughter as well as status updates reading, "No one can escape death," "Should I give up?" and, "I have stopped already."
After holing up in the mall, the gunman was killed by sharpshooters after 16 hours.
Police described the gunman as a "solider angry over a land dispute." He reportedly first killed his commander and two others at his military base before storming the shopping center.
Disrn will not name the shooter nor publish pictures of his face.
