In a Monday interview with CNN's Brooke Baldwin, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms pointed the finger at President Trump as being at least partly responsible for the tragic murder of 8-year-old Secoriea Turner, who was killed over the weekend.
"You think about the leadership or the lack thereof that we have coming from the highest office in the land. I think that you are seeing so many emotions play out," Bottoms said when asked how such a tragedy could happen. "And so, too often, it's playing out in violence in our streets."
Turner was killed last Saturday when gunfire struck the car she was riding in Atlanta near the Wendy's where Rayshard Brooks died.
Bottoms cited "systemic racism" as contributing to the "perfect storm" that led to the 8-year-old's death.
