Law enforcement in Suffolk County said on Monday that 21-year-old Inyoung You drove her boyfriend to suicide by urging him to kill himself, telling him at one point that the “world would be better without him.”

You, a student at Boston College, allegedly told her deceased boyfriend, Alexander Urtula, to “go die” and “kill yourself” during text message exchanges, prosecutors claim. Urtula jumped to his death from a parking garage in Boston; law enforcement claim You was present at the time.

The young woman reportedly isolated her boyfriend from his family and friends, and even tracked his locations via his cell phone. She has been charged with involuntary manslaughter for her role in Urtula’s death.
