Attorney General William Barr is allegedly directing the Federal Bureau of Prisons to deploy riot teams to Washington, D.C., and Miami as protests continue to escalate.

The FBI also reportedly summoned its elite Hostage Rescue Unit to D.C., a senior Justice Department official told USA Today and The Washington Post. The official also said that every FBI field office was setting up command posts and planned on working with local police to charge people who traveled from out of state to riot.

The FBI will also review if individuals in custody had committed any federal crimes.

Barr said on Sunday that law enforcement would be told to find and charge the "violent radical agitators who have hijacked peaceful protest."

"Preventing reconciliation and driving us apart is the goal of these radical groups, and we cannot let them succeed," he said.
