During a speech in Michigan Wednesday, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden drastically overstated the number of U.S. military members who have died from coronavirus.
While reading a list of statistics, Biden announced, "Military COVID infected, 118,984, military COVID deaths, 6,114."
Those numbers do not match the official statistics from the Department of Defense, which show just over 40,000 U.S. military personnel have been infected, and only 7 have died.
Biden did not take questions from the press following his speech and is yet to respond to requests to clarify his inflated numbers.
