Biden plans immediate executive orders to reverse Trump's policies

Projected President-Elect Joe Biden reportedly plans to sign a series of executive orders soon after being sworn into office on January 20.

"The policy team, the transition policy teams, are focusing now very much on executive power," said a Biden ally who who spoke with the Washington Post on the condition of anonymity. "I expect that to be freely used in a Biden administration at this point, if the Senate becomes a roadblock."

Biden will rejoin the Paris climate accords. The Trump administration filed the U.S.'s withdrawal from the agreement in 2019. The Biden administration will also rejoin the World Health Organization.

Biden also plans to repeal the travel ban on seven predominantly Muslim countries, which Trump had ordered in 2017.

The Biden administration will also reinstate DACA, a program that allows children who were brought to the United States illegally as children to remain in the country, also known as the DREAM Act.
