Former Vice President Joe Biden, wearing a black face mask, made his first public appearance in months on Monday when he participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at a veteran's memorial near his home in Delaware.
Biden, who has not left his residence since mid-March due to the coronavirus lockdowns, visited the Veterans Memorial Park at the Delaware Memorial Bridge in New Castle with his wife Jill to pay tribute to those who died serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
When asked if he had a message for Americans on Memorial Day, Biden said it is important that American soldiers are remembered.
"Never forget the sacrifices that these men and women made. Never, ever, forget," Biden told reporters.
