A bill that will require sex education in every public school in Washington state — even in kindergarten classes — has passed the state legislature and is headed to Gov. Jay Inslee's desk for his signature.
Opponents have slammed the bill as too far-reaching for a public school curriculum. Six-year-olds will be taught LGBT gender ideology, as well as human anatomy. Older students will learn about birth control, sexual consent, and additional LGBT topics.
Individual school districts would be allowed to modify the curriculum as long as they teach the state's minimum requirements. The law contains an opt-out provision for parents.
