Islamic terror group Boko Haram raided a mostly Christian village in northeast Nigeria on Christmas Eve, killing at least 11 people and burning down several structures.
"The terrorists ... burnt 10 homes and looted food supplies that were meant to be distributed to residents to celebrate Christmas," militia leader Abwaku Kabu said.
The attackers rode on trucks and motorbikes while shooting guns. They also burned down a church and hospital after abducting a priest and stealing medical supplies.
🔦 Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the abduction of more than 300 Nigerian schoolboys earlier this month. In November, Boko Haram said they killed dozens of farmers.
A report by the International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law said 2,200 Nigerian Christians have been killed in 2020.
