Islamic terrorist organization Boko Haram murdered 12 people after a young girl with a suicide vest blew up in the middle of a park during a raid in the village of Mozogo in Cameroon.

The blast also killed one Boko Haram militant.

It is unclear if the young girl voluntarily or involuntarily participated in the attack. Boko Haram has forced captives to commit similar acts in the past.

"Boko Haram is continuing to spread their power and influence across international borders," said watchdog group International Christian Concern. "The group has been able to conduct attacks and terrorize people in four countries near the lake chad region of West Africa. These four countries are Nigeria, Niger, Chad, and Cameroon."

🔦 Islamic terror group Boko Haram raided a mostly Christian village in northeast Nigeria on Christmas Eve, killing at least 11 people and burning down several structures.

Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the abduction of more than 300 Nigerian schoolboys earlier this month. In November, Boko Haram said they killed dozens of farmers.

A report by the International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law said over 2,200 Nigerian Christians were killed in 2020.
