Charismatic preacher and televangelist Kenneth Copeland on Thursday attempted to heal Americans of coronavirus through their television screens, asking viewers to place their hands on their TV screens in order to be cured of the deadly disease through Christ.

In his anti-coronavirus prayer, the Christian personality suggested that those afflicted with the illness are "not the sick trying to get healed" but rather "healed, and the Devil is trying to give [them] the flu."

Copeland is known for preaching the "prosperity gospel," a belief that God materially enriches those who give to his ministry. The televangelist has a net worth of over $750 million.
