Police in Chicago broke up a funeral at a church on the city's south side on Sunday, demanding that the funeral-goers return home and observe the city's strict stay-at-home orders.
Upward of 60 people were at St. Odisho Church when police arrived. Nobody was arrested and there were no citations issued, according to a police spokesperson, who called the breakup "the last thing we want to do."
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker instituted the stay-at-home order March 21. It is scheduled to go until April 7 but may be extended further, according to public officials in the state.
