The manager of a Chick-fil-Ain southern California is being hailed as a hero after instinctively rendering life-saving aid to an elderly man. Tauya Nenguke, 22, said he was working the drive-thru when he noticed a group of people trying to help an unconscious man. Nenguke, who has training in emergency care, immediately approached the man and began CPR.

“[The man] wasn’t breathing or anything. His eyes were rolled back behind his head — I know this guy was out. I didn’t know how long. I just started chest compression immediately,” Nenguke said.

According to one of Nenguke’s colleagues, emergency crews were overheard saying his quick action saved the man’s life.

Nenguke, an aspiring nurse, gave credit to God for putting him in that scenario.

“There wasn’t any hesitation on my part,” he said. “I knew that was the place where God placed me at that time.”

🔦 This is not the first time Chick-fil-A employees were recognized for their life-saving actions. In June 2019, Logan Simmons jumped through the drive-thru window of his Chick-fil-A restaurant to help a young boy who was choking.
