Chinese state media giddily celebrated the end of Donald Trump's presidential administration Wednesday, taking to Twitter to decry the former president as "negative and destructive."
The Xinhua news agency, controlled and operated by the Chinese Communist Party, used its social media account to taunt Trump, who consistently took a hard-line stance against the communist state throughout his term.
"Good Riddance, Donald Trump!" the now-deleted tweet read, with a link to a story criticizing what it called the Trump administration's "final madness."
The communist media network said that Trump was "weak on the inside" despite his often-aggressive tone and bellicose rhetoric.
