Chinese officials extended the Lunar New Year holiday on Monday to help prevent the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus that has now killed 81.
The end of the Lunar New Year holiday was pushed back from Thursday to Sunday to "reduce mass gatherings" and "block the spread of the epidemic" during China's busiest travel season, according to officials. Sports stadiums and religious events have also been closed, and school will postpone until further notice.
Hong Kong has also announced it would bar entry to visitors arriving from the Wuhan province, where the outbreak started. The lockdown has extended to 17 cities.
