Well-known Christian rapper Lecrae used his talents to rally Georgians to come out and vote early for Senate candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.
On December 14, the Ossoff campaign hosted a "Get Out the Early Vote Rally & Concert" in Atlanta. An advertisement for the event said it would feature both Ossoff and Warnock, as well as Lecrae and fellow hip-hop artists Rasheeda and Kirk Frost.
Lecrae's support of both Ossoff and Warnock has raised eyebrows of several Christians given the staunchly pro-abortion stances of both men.
Although Lecrae has not responded to the controversy directly, he did issue a Twitter thread blasting evangelical Christians. After pushback, the artist, who has made successful inroads in the secular hip-hop world, deleted the thread and replaced it with a single tweet attacking the "religious right."
