A man who shot up a church in Tennessee, killing a mother of two and injuring numerous others, has received a three-century-long prison sentence for his crime.

The shooter, who went on his spree at Burnette Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch, will spend 291 years in prison, the sentence handed down by Judge Cheryl Blackburn.

The shooter was a former employee of the church. The shooting was stopped by a parishioner who eventually pulled a gun on the assailant.
