Clippers owner Steve Ballmer pledges more than $25 million to coronavirus relief

Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and his wife, Connie, have pledged over $25 million to help those severely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, according to ESPN reporter Ohm Youngmisuk.

Through the couple's philanthropic nonprofit the Ballmer Group, funds will be used to help communities in Seattle, Michigan, and Los Angeles.

The generous donation includes a $10 million pledge to the University of Washington to assist in the development of a COVID-19 vaccine.

🔦 Some notable players throughout the NBA, including Kevin Love, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Zion Williamson, have made donations to help arena employees affected by the suspension of the NBA season.
