CNN is being lambasted across social media for an article published Thursday afternoon that criticized the Trump administration for its "lack of diversity" in the coronavirus task force.

After President Trump posted photos from a briefing he had with task force members saying, "we have the best experts," CNN political writer Brandon Tensley openly criticized Trump in a short yet scathing article.

"Who are these experts? They're largely the same sort of white men (and a couple women on the sidelines) who've dominated the Trump administration from the very beginning," Tensley said. "[The photos] signal which people in a multi-racial, half-female country Trump values the opinions of: mostly white men who are mirror images of the President himself."

CNN then posted a photo on Twitter comparing Trump's coronavirus task force to the 2014 Ebola task force constructed by former President Barack Obama.

The report was immediately mocked on social media.

Several users also compared Tensley's article to satire.
