CNN host Don Lemon said on Monday night that, "We're going to have to blow up the entire system," including amending the U.S. Constitution to eliminate the Electoral College.

Lemon made the comments on air to Chris Cuomo, also a CNN host, during the transition between the two men's shows.

"I don't know about that," Cuomo responded. "You're just going to have to vote."

"You know what we're going to have to do?" Lemon continued, "Honestly? From what your closing argument is, you have to get rid of the Electoral College. The minority in this country decides who the judges are and they decide who the president is. Is that fair?"

Cuomo noted that a constitutional amendment would be required to nix the Electoral College.

"And if Joe Biden wins, Democrats can stack the courts and they can do that amendment and get it passed," Lemon said.

After Cuomo said that an amendment would require approval of two-thirds of Congress and 75% of state legislatures, Lemon said that "they may be able to do that."
