I love a good self-own, no matter which side of the aisle it comes from.

And this self-own, perpetrated by one Donald John Trump Jr., was a majestic thing to behold:

Oh, Junior. That's beautiful.

Rake, meet face 😂

You'd think, before tweeting about something as important as the Bible when he clearly has little experience with it, the bearded Trump would just fire up Google real quick and peck out "does satan ever quote scripture or nah."

Alas, he did not do that.

Had he checked, he'd have come across some verses describing the temptation of Jesus, when Satan, of course, literally quotes scripture:

Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple 6 and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written,
"‘He will command his angels concerning you,'
and
"‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.'"

–Matthew 4:5-6

And he took him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, 10 for it is written,
"‘He will command his angels concerning you,
to guard you,'
and
"‘On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.'"

–Luke 4:9-11

Oh man. This is as good as his father's "Two Corinthians."

Status of self: owned.
