A massive ice and snow storm has socked a large swath of the United States, including a number of southern states not used to the subzero temperatures. From Houston and Dallas to Nashville and Knoxville, the internet is full of sunshine lovers encountering the annoyance of this thing we northerners call winter.

Mindful that winter storms are deadly serious in terms of their impact on health and safety, it's impossible to ignore the humorous side of the story that ensues whenever southerners are greeted by the ice and snow.

If you ever wondered what it would look like if you dropped some Texans in Minnesota mid-February, here you go (note: besides a few bruises, no one was seriously injured in the making of this montage so feel free to enjoy without guilt).

Now that you've had your laugh, join me in praying for these bumps and bruises to heal quickly, and for warm temperatures to return to our friends down south even quicker.
