Eric Swalwell, the Democratic congressman from California who was recently tied politically to outed-Chinese communist spy Fang Fang (or Christine Fang), said Wednesday that he believes former President Trump has no political future, but will instead be tied up "in civil and criminal courts" for the rest of his life.
"A twice impeached president who incited an attack on our Capitol that led to the killing of a cop has … I believe, has no business being at any gathering of any Americans," Swalwell told MSNBC's Ayman Mohyeldin. "I think he's gonna spend the rest of his years in civil and criminal courts."
Swalwell's reference to the "killing of a cop" likely refers to the death of Officer Brian Sicknick. Authorities have said that Sicknick did not suffer any blunt force trauma caused by rioters. Though no official cause of death has yet been determined, Sicknick's mother believes he died of a stroke.
Despite the California Democrat's expectations, former President Trump appears to have no plans to stay away from gatherings of Americans. He is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the CPAC event in Florida this Sunday.
