Reports are conflicting as to whether Dick’s Sporting Goods CEO Ed Stack is considering a third-party attempt at the White House in 2020.

Correspondence with a focus group out of southern Wisconsin has reportedly centered on Stack, including video messages of him evaluating the chances of a third-party victory.

However, a source familiar with Stack countered the claims.

“Mr. Stack enjoys running Dick’s Sporting Goods and has no plans to run for any elected office,” the source said.

Both sources who suggested Stack would and would not pursue candidacy spoke on terms of anonymity.
