The Walt Disney Company recently announced that it has included a bisexual lead character on its Disney Channel. The 14-year-old character "Luz" from the animated series "The Owl House" is attracted to both men and women.

Dana Terrace, creator of the show, made the announcement last week after a recent episode addressed the romantic involvement between the main character and a female friend.

? Disney's bisexual character follows other entertainment companies including LGBT characters. Marvel studios announced in November 2019 that it would be premiering its first openly gay superhero, and Nickelodeon celebrated Pride Month with a social media post identifying some popular characters as gay.
