Acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf on Monday revealed that the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating the leaders of Black Lives Matter and Antifa, along with those who fund the two organizations, over the ongoing riots and violence in Democratic cities across the country.
In an interview with Fox News' Tucker Carlson, Wolf said Joe Biden was "delusional" after the Democratic presidential nominee suggested that violence would only increase if President Trump was reelected.
When asked why the leaders of Antifa and BLM have not been "arrested and charged with conspiracy," Wolf said it is "something that I have talked to the AG personally about," adding that the DOJ is "working on it."
"Look, we have seen about 300 arrests across this country regarding civil unrest and protesting, violent protesting, and, I would say, criminal protesting," Wolf told Carlson. "I know the Department of Justice has charged about 74, 75 individuals there in Portland with different federal crimes. We will continue to see how those investigations are going. Department of Justice is also targeting and investigating the head of these organizations, the individuals that are paying for these individuals to move across the country."
Wolf also indicated that the DOJ is looking at the riots in Washington, D.C., Sacramento, and Kenosha, noting that these violent demonstrations are using "similar tactics" that have been deployed in Portland.
Wolf said it is just further proof that the attacks on cities throughout the United States are well-organized.
