Dow jumps 1,300 points to cap biggest 3-day rally since 1931

The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 1,351.62 points on Thursday, capping off its biggest three-day surge since 1931.

The Dow closed at 22,552.17 after rising 6.4% on Thursday. It is up more than 20% over the past three days.

The S&P 500 also closed off a three-day winning streak after rising 6.2% to 2,630.07. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 5.6% to 7,797.54.

Thursday's jump follows the Senate's unanimous approval of a $2 trillion economic relief package to curb the impact of the coronavirus.
