Superbowl-winning quarterback Drew Brees is encouraging students to participate in this year’s “Bring Your Bible to School Day.” The famed passer referenced his favorite Bible verse in a video supporting the initiative:

“One of my favorite verses in the Bible is 2 Corinthians 5:7 – ‘for we live by faith, not by sight.’ So I want to encourage you to live out your faith on Bring Your Bible to School Day to share God’s love with friends. You’re not alone.”

The annual event, sponsored by Focus on the Family, means to put religious liberty on display by teaching students about their rights and encouraging them to be courageous about sharing their faith.

🔦 A memorandum published by Christian legal firm Alliance Defending Freedom provides constitutional justifications and support for students if they are challenged by school authorities.
