Elizabeth Warren on Thursday night made a bold public advancement of her environmental policy, saying of the radical Green New Deal: "I not only support a Green New Deal — I don't think it goes far enough":
[W]hat I want to see us do is get off an oil economy, not only for ourselves, but for the rest of the world. I want to see us move entirely to green. And let me say on this, I not only support a Green New Deal — I don't think it goes far enough. I also have a Blue New Deal, because we've got to be thinking about our oceans as well that we need to protect.
On her website, Warren touts the Green New Deal as "an ambitious effort to transform our economy and save our planet." That policy contained numerous formidable proposals such as retrofitting every single building in the United States with energy-efficient construction in just 10 years.
