Tesla's all-electric Cybertruck could prove to be a huge seller, according to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who said in the company's fourth-quarter earnings call that they are seeing unprecedented demand for the vehicle.
"We've never seen this level of demand," Musk said. "I think we will sell as many as we can make for many years. It's going to be pretty nuts. I think actually the product is better than people realize even. They don't even have enough information to realize the awesomeness of it. It's just great."
Tesla unveiled the truck in November 2019. It currently has three basic models:
- A $39,900 version with single-motor rear-wheel drive, arriving late 2022.
- A $49,900 version with dual motor all-wheel drive, arriving late 2021.
- A $69,900 version with tri-motor all-wheel drive, arriving late 2021.
All three models are available for pre-order with a refundable $100 reservation fee.
