The iconic Empire State Building was flooded red on Monday night, a display meant to honor the healthcare workers in the city dealing with the brutal crush of the coronavirus.

New York remains the hardest-hit state in the United States by a significant measure. There have been nearly 70,000 cases in New York alone.

The Empire State Building will continue to flash the red display nightly in an ongoing tribute to the nurses, doctors, and other healthcare officials in the city.
