Golf can be such a cruel sport.
Co-founder of the Masters Tournament and amateur golfer Bobby Jones said it best: "Some emotions cannot be endured with a golf club in your hands."
I wonder what emotions Brendan Steele was experiencing as he watched this uncooperative tee shot on the 15th hole during the opening round of the Honda Classic on Friday:
It doesn't get much more heartbreaking than that. Steele's bid for a hole-in-one was thrarted by a stubborn ball that did everything but drop to the bottom of the cup, touching all parts of the hole in a wicked horseshoe lip-out, almost taunting the man.
I'm surprised his iron didn't get the ol' John Daly treatment.
Oh, and by the way, he also missed out on winning a brand new car. Bummer, man.
