An abortion doctor from Amsterdam is suing the Food and Drug administration, claiming that the federal agency has seized several doses of abortion drugs she has shipped to the United States.

Rebecca Gomperts, known for prescribing medical abortion pills to women in America, sued the agency this week, stating that “federal officials have seized between three and 10 doses of abortion drugs she has prescribed” via her organization, Aid Access. Gomperts also “believes the government has blocked Aid Access from receiving payments from some patients.”

The lawsuit seeks to “force the FDA to stop those actions, and to prevent Gomperts or her patients from being prosecuted under federal law.”
