Every player, coach, and referee at the Thursday evening Utah Jazz v New Orleans Pelicans NBA game took a knee during the national anthem.

Players also wore warm-up shirts that promoted the Black Lives Matter movement, and the court featured a Black Lives Matter installation.

The display of activism — an increasingly large part of the NBA in the U.S. — followed a report published Wednesday detailing abuse discovered at NBA training programs in China.

U.S. coaches in China told league officials that their partners were physically abusing young players and not providing education, although commissioner Adam Silver said schooling would be a key part of the program, according to an ESPN report published Wednesday.
