Jim Cramer, legendary financial pundit and host of CNBC's Mad Money, reacted to the stellar Friday morning jobs report in an interview on CNBC, saying no matter what people think of President Trump, "you can't contradict that these are the best numbers of our lives. You can't!"
"People don't want to say good things, and this is the best number I've ever seen in my life!" Cramer said.
He went on to say the strength of the American economy reflected in the jobs growth and 50-year unemployment low guarantees the U.S. a win in the trade war against china:
"It has to go up, Joe, because when we win the trade war — which you know we're going to win now, because we have the better numbers — then they're going to have to put jobs here. That's what they're going to have to do. We're not even talking about that yet. In the end the Chinese are going to have to put jobs here. The president can walk away from the table with this number."
Reacting to the fact that the 3.5% unemployment rate ties ties for lowest since 1969, Cramer continued:
"Look, Joe, you and I both know — 50 years, OK, now I'm 64. You can't contradict that these are the best numbers of our lives. You can't! I don't see inflation, I don't see recession. 50 years ago that number was a curse. Now it's a blessing."
Referring to President Trump, Cramer said:
"You know something, Joe? It doesn't matter whether you hate him or like him, these are real numbers."
