Lindsey Boylan, a former adviser to New York's Democratic governor Andrew Cuomo, has accused her former boss of committing "years" of sexual harassment against her. For three and a half years, Boylan served Cuomo as his deputy secretary for economic development and special adviser.
On Saturday, she released a series of tweets that described the harassment she endured under Cuomo.
The former Cuomo adviser is running as a progressive Democrat for president of her Manhattan borough.
This is not the first time that Boylan has spoken out her experience working for Cuomo. She had previously said that it was the "most toxic team environment" she had ever participated in, going so far as saying her teenage waitressing job was an "infinitely more respectful environment." She says plenty of others would affirm what she is saying, except they are "deathly afraid" of the New York governor.
"Seriously, the messages and texts I receive when I speak the truth about this...it's a whole book of people who have been harmed," Boylan said.
